Ambriza is an authentic Mexican restaurant, not Tex-Mex.They have two locations: one in Spring and another in Cypress.
I went to the Cypress location which is right by the boardwalk.
My Experience
Upon entering Ambriza,we were greeted by a hostess. We didn’t make a reservation but only waited for about 5 minutes. We went on a Tuesday night.
Ambriza restaurant was clean and the staff was happy to serve us. They were also very knowledgeable if their menu and made suggestions on what to try .
The atmosphere was great. We sat inside and it was very loud. If you’re looking for a calm spot, I suggest you sit inside.
The Food
It’s obvious they use fresh ingredients which is always a plus !
The meats were delicious. The ribs and beef were very tender and juicy and the seasoning was on point. The chicken breast was juicy. I rate the meats 10/10!
The shrimp were sort of bland. I would rate them 7/10. They were dry and lacked flavor. It looks like they just used salt I know it’s best to not over season seafood but I feel like they sprinkled a little bit of salt on the shrimp and grilled, that’s it.
Best Mexican rice ever ! The guacamole was also good!
The enchiladas were delicious!
Overall…
I will definitely go to the restaurant again because the food is great and the customer service is 10/10!
FYI, we had a hard time finding Ambriza restaurant because it’s not visible depending on where you enter from. I suggest parking your car and walking towards the boardwalk if you go to the Cypress location. We called the restaurant and whoever I talked to was helpful !
My family and I enjoyed our time Ambriza and I definitely recommend you check it out !
