My Relaxed Hair Regimen

Here is what I do on a weekly basis

Step 1: PREPOO (Pre-shampoo Treatment)

•Oil scalp using an applicator bottle

I use one of my favorite oil(usually olive oil or jojoba or coconut) and add a few drops of tea tree oil, warm the mixture, apply it to my scalp and massage. The tingling effect helps stimulate my scalp and retrieve itchiness.Click here to purchase the oils I use

•Apply a light protein conditioner to my dry hair tips to roots.

I cover my hair with a shower cap and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. When I’m not lazy, I sit under the dryer for 20-minutes for a more intense penetration.

Prepoo Products

I alternate between Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructor, ORS Hair Mayonnaise and ORS Replenishing Conditioner

I alternate between these light protein conditioners. They also have slip which is a must for prepoo. They are light and also provide not only strength but also moisture . Since the slip is amazing , I’m able to detangle as I am rinsing out the conditioner under running water. This technique is a must in my relaxed hair regimen! I’m able to easily detangle without facing unnecessary breakage.

Step 2: MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO

I love moisturizing and detangling shampoos. Not only they cleanse, they keep my hair tangle free. My hair and scalp aren’t stripped after using them. I shampoo twice . Be sure to rinse well each time. I use one or the other . In my opinion, the only difference between these two is the smell.

Step 3: MOISTURIZING DEEP CONDITIONER

Deep conditioning treatments are quintessential! After cleansing, all the nutrients from the deep conditioner can deeply penetrate into the hair shaft! It’s important to be pick a deep conditioner that has moisturizing and softening ingredients. The deep conditioning treatment below provide intense moisture and as I am rinsing out the conditioner , I detangle so easily.

Step 4: LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER |MOISTURIZER

My leave-in is moisture based. It doesn’t contain any protein. A good leave-in adds extra moisture, detangles and protects the hair prior to styling. I love the Lotta Body leave-in! I don’t even want to try a new one, that’s how much I love it. I love to wear my hair out so 9/10, I do a rollerset. I apply my leave-in and rollerset. Sometimes , I apply a tad bit of moisturizer if I know I’ll be outside a lot.(Extended exposure to sunlight can dry out the hair so I like to give my hair extra moisture prior). The ORS Hair lotion makes my hair super silky and moisturized.

Step 5: SERUM AND STYLE

After drying my rollerset underneath the hooded dryer , I apply my serum and wrap my hair.

I love these serums ! I only seal with them ! A little goes a long way. They’re very light.

MOISTURIZING AND SEALING

I listen to my hair and moisturize as needed. If I feel like it’s losing moisture, I lightly moisturize with the ORS Hair Lotion and seal with the One n Only Argan Oil Spray. On a ever age , I moisturize once to twice weekly. If it feel like it doesn’t need any products then I don’t add anything .

NIGHT TIME ROUTINE

At night , I use two flexi rods to preserve my style . If I want it straight , I wrap my hair. I make sure . I massage my scalp nightly for at least 2 mins.
