April 9,2019 – Houston, TX – First Lady, Dr. Sonya M. Sloan, M.D is proud to announce the 2019 edition of the God’s Women Rock event on May 3rd at The Luke Church in Humble, Texas. This ‘out-of-the-box’ worship party experience is for women of all faiths with a focus on utilizing their impact on societal issues. This year’s event focuses on bringing awareness to human trafficking with proceeds benefiting anti-human trafficking organizations.
It has been reported that human trafficking in Texas accounts for 25% of the trafficked people in the United States at any time. From sex work to labor trafficking, women and children remain at the forefront of this international epidemic. The purpose of The God’s Women Rock Experience
is to highlight the harsh realities of this form of modern slavery and to collaborate with organizations part of the anti-human trafficking coalition for solutions. Founder of God’s Women Rock, Sonya Sloan, M.D. says, “[quote].”

The evening’s guest speaker, Ivy McGregor is a widely respected minister, global business leader, strategist and influencer who is dedicated to advocating the power of service to change the world. Grammy-nominated gospel star, Koryn Hawthorne will also join the event to contribute to powerful discussions on potential action plans against human trafficking with a faith-based influence.
