Seasons Of Love

“Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes…

How do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets

In midnights, in cups of coffee

In inches, in miles

In laughter, in strife

How do you measure a year in the life

How about love?

Measure in love

Seasons of love

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes

Five hundred twenty-five thousand

Journeys to plan

Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes

How do you measure the life

Of a woman or a man?

In truths that she learned

Or in times that he cried

In bridges he burned

Or the way that she died

It’s time now to sing out

Tho’ the story never ends

Let’s celebrate

Remember a year in the life of friends” .Donny Osmond

Thanksgiving passed, Black Friday is over over and I’m sitting on my bed reflecting per usual. I’m thinking about recent memories and unfortunately all good things come to an end. It is almost time for everyone to return to their usual obligations; oh ! I guess I have to work on Monday (womp, womp). When you’re young , you can’t wait to grow up but as an adult , I reminisce about the good ol days when I didn’t have to do anything .

Anyways, I’m feeling sad because I had such an amazing Thanksgiving with my heartbeats and I wish everyday was a get together! Unfortunately, we live in a world that forces us to be apart for different reasons. You plan but life happens. Life can be so stressful at times. I know there is a ton of work awaiting for me when I get back to Houston. I refused to check my email and it is going to be a pain in the butt catching up. Well, I needed to relax and take care of myself. We should all disconnect from the “real world” often.

The fact that I did not work this week enabled me to rest my mind and body, I woke up after 8am everyday this week, prayed more, spent time with my family, I got to write 3 blog posts and do so much more. The most important and best part of being on this vacation was the quality with my dear loved ones…priceless moments.

Now, I only keep my eyes on the good. Per my last post , certain people can be so deceiving but I have to say that the good overpowers the bad. In my world, quality matters. I don’t care about quantity. Love was truly in the air and it’s always been that way. At times , we get so caught up in negativity that we forget the frequent sprinkles of love and happiness. My family is so awesome, so are my close friends. I can go through something and they can just feel it, I instantly feel better after leaning on them . I don’t have to ask for anything , they’re there because they want to and know I need them and vice versa.

Everything has an expiration date, a party ends, a honey moon ends but that doesn’t mean that the world is coming to an end. Preserve those memories in your heart and think about them everyday. Utilize those memories to keep the harmony. You may be miles away from loved ones but they’re with you in spirit at all times. Nowadays, technology makes it so convenient to show your love, compassion and thoughts. And remember, time flies! The next meet up will be here in no time. Work hard so you can play even harder. There is a time for everything.

Cherish every moment, tomorrow is not guaranteed, life is full of surprises. Live everyday like it is your last ….

Writing this definitely helps me to be stronger everyday and I hope it helps someone .

Seasons of Love ! Watch it !

Hugs,

Brenda
